CamelliasA few years back we took the decision to make Camellias one of our product specialisms. It was an easy decision to make, there are two national collections of camellias in Cornwall, so well suited are they to the conditions here. Since then we have acquired plants from many different sources, to the point where we now have mother plants of 459 different varieties. We have sought to avoid similar varieties and to embrace as fully as possible the diversity within the genus, at least as far as hardy varieties will take us. Thus we have very old and very new, we have whites through to the darkest reds we know, we have flowers from September until May and we have low growing spreaders to small trees. We sell the majority of our varieties in 2 litre pots, about 45-60cm tall, at £8.50. Some varieties are available in 5 litres, some in 15 litres and some really big specimens, too big for mail order, in 35 or 50 litres. We’re proud of what we do have and will do our best to meet any requirements that you have that are not covered by the online list. So if you don’t see what you want, please ask. |
